The Presbytery of Mississippi ordained Reverend Wilson in 1985 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, where he served both as a Youth Pastor and as a Campus Minister at the University of Southern Mississippi. In 1987, he moved to First Presbyterian Church in Middletown, Ohio, as the Associate Pastor for Youth and Children Ministries. Don entered the military as an Air Force Chaplain in January 1989. From 1989 to 2011, he served in several different positions at many military bases around the world. In 2011, Don retired from the Air Force to become the Associate Director to the Presbyterian Council for Chaplains and Military Personnel. In May 2016, Dr. Wilson came to Kiskiminetas Presbytery to serve as the General Presbyter.
Don graduated from King College in Bristol, TN, with a BA in History and Political Science. He completed a Master of Divinity degree at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, and received his Doctor of Ministry degree from Bethel University in St. Paul, MN. Don completed four units of Clinical Pastoral Education at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Additionally, he completed Squadron Officer School, Air Command and Staff College, Air War College, and Air Force Academic Instructor School. In 1996, Don was one of two American Chaplains invited to attend the International Chaplain Course sponsored by the German Government.
Don and his wife, Becky, have four children and two grandchildren. Don is an avid marathon runner, having completed 45 marathons and one ultra-marathon. His official biography is available upon request
The Rev. Kathy Nice became our Stated Clerk in 2019. She graduated from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary in 2012 after a career in PA state government. Kathy has been the pastor for Shelocta Presbyterian Community Church for the past several years. Kathy was baptized as an infant in a Presbyterian church not far from Shelocta and has been involved in the Presbyterian church most of her life. Kathy holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Seton Hill University, where she teaches as an adjunct instructor in the MBA program. Kathy loves working with the Vacation Bible School program, helping scouts with Religious Awards, and singing in the chancel choir. She and her husband, Chris, have two dogs and two cats at home.
I started working here at the office in April 2019.
I was born in Clarion, Pa. I have been married to my husband for 38 years. My husband is the Pastor at the Dayton Church of God in Dayton, PA.
I have two children by birth and two others by marriage. I have a daughter Brianna Sherman and her husband Justin. I have a son Luke Seidler and his wife Laisa. My children have blessed me with 4 grandchildren and another on the way. I have 3 granddaughters, Aleah Sherman (5), Obadiah Sherman (2), Eleazar Seidler (3), and Charlie (1), and another one in January.
My hobbies are babysitting my precious grandchildren, crocheting, sewing, spending time with family and friends. I lead worship at our church. We don’t have any pets but raise chickens.
Before being employed here I worked with the Armstrong School District and Brookville School District as a para-professional in the Special Education classes. I performed this job for 14 years.
I began working for the Kiskiminetas Presbytery in August 2020.
I am a graduate of Mid-America Christian University in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with a Bachelors’s degree in Psychology. I have three grown sons and two awesome daughters-in-law. Altogether, they have blessed me with four grandchildren Addison, Chase, Ainsley, and Eden, which are my absolute joy. My job with Kiskiminetas Presbytery allows me to do things that I really enjoy, such as create and design of Webpage and Newsletter, research how things work and why, and generally working with others.
I also work as a Shelter Advocate at a local Domestic and Sexual Violence shelter. I am originally from Rural Valley and have recently moved back from Warren, Ohio, where I worked in a children’s psychiatric hospital
Reverend Cartmell is the pastor of St Benedict and St Paul Presbyterian Churches in Northern Cambria. She has served these two churches for over 25 years being a wealth of knowledge to her leadership role in the Presbytery.
Tamalyn Goble is an elder from First Presbyterian Church in Clarion, and very active in the Presbytery for several years. Most recently she served as an At-Large Member of the Presbytery Cabinet, and also served as a supply preacher for several of our small congregations.
Sandy is an elder and Sunday school teacher at Plumville Presbyterian Church and has served several terms on the Presbytery Administrative Team. She is starting her second term as treasurer of the presbytery. She says she is learning new things about the presbytery all the time and has enjoyed getting to work with many wonderful people. Sandy’s full time job is working as an accountant for John D. Gandolfi, CPA, her husband’s accounting firm, where she has been employed for over 30 years. She is a proud mother of 2 children who are both Westminster graduates and are also accountants.
Kimberly was born in Texas but has lived in Western PA for most of her life and has lived in Apollo for the past 22 years. She received her B.S. degree in Business/Marketing from Penn State. She has run an employee leasing company for over 20 years. She has also helped businesses set up and maintain their business on Quickbooks as well as help with government discrepancies. Kimberly enjoys looking at the big financial picture and helping to streamline the business.
Kimberly has a son that she enjoys and loves to watch play baseball. She also enjoys playing racquetball when she can squeeze it in.
