PDA Training – not what you might be thinking!
How do we prepare ourselves & our congregations for a disaster?
How do we bring our God-given talents, time and resources to a response-and-recovery effort in our community?
How do we prepare for human-caused disasters & use these learnings in our ministry?
How can we carry out refugee ministries or help establish refugee-serving organizations in our area?
Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) disaster response training is being offered in five locations across the Synod region in September and October – the closest to us being Wed., 10/17 @ 9AM at Crestfield Camp & Conference Center in Slippery Rock. Sponsored by the Synod of the Trinity and its presbyteries, there will be three training sessions available at each location. Registrants will have an opportunity to select one of two training workshops during the afternoon session, with topics that have been hand-picked by leaders in that region.
