A Synod Celebration Award Winner
As part of the Synod of the Trinity’s 300th anniversary celebration, on Sept. 17, churches in the Synod were invited to share a video or picture(s) showing how they honored that special day. A presentation was created using those submissions and unveiled at the Synod’s Assembly meeting in October. Three participating congregations were to be randomly selected from among those who posted or emailed, each receiving $500, an award to help start or support a ministry of that congregation.
Rev. Gary Lyon reported, the Synod drew the 3 winners for the $500 awards and Plumville Presbyterian Church won one of those gifts! Woohoo! Also, kudos to the Presbytery of Kiskiminetas – all of you – Kiski submitted more entries than any of the other 16 presbyteries!
The Synod also donated a synod bread plate to each presbytery. Bill John’s will deliver! Look for it at the November Presbytery meeting or in the Presbytery office.
