Kiskiminetas Presbytery has taken the following actions because of the Coronavirus.

On March 16, 2020, the President requested that no gathering of more than ten people be held and the Governor asking non-essential business to close, we will implement the following actions.

The Cabinet voted to suspend operations at the Presbytery Office starting today (March 17).  The staff will continue to work as they can from home or if needed from the office, but the building is closed.  All meetings will continue as planned, and we will do them by video conferencing.  We will send out reminders and links on the day of the meeting, so please check your emails for that information.  Do not come to the Yatesboro office.

The Ministry Commission voted to suspend Pulpit Supply Program to the churches effective immediately.  They also voted to urge all church sessions to suspend worship services and programs during the duration of this health crisis.

So the actions taken are:

  1. Cabinet has closed the Presbytery Office until further notice.
  2. All Presbytery scheduled meetings will be conducted by video conferencing.
  3. The Pulpit Supply Program to churches is suspended until further notice.
  4. Ministry Commission highly recommends that church sessions take action to suspend worship services and church activities during the duration of this health crisis.

Other activities that have been canceled are Elder Communion Training and the Commissioned Pastor and Commissioned Preacher Course on Christian Doctrine.  Both of these will be readdressed after this health crisis passes.
