OTHER UPDATES:

The CAPNWP Board of Directors has been working diligently with the State of Pennsylvania and Department of Agriculture to permanently repair the water system at Camp Lambec that forced its early closure in the summer of 2016.  We have received the green light from both governmental agencies and all permits are on hand to begin the rebuilding process. This upgrade is costing approximately $90,000.   It is our hope to have the water system up and running by mid to late April.  In the event the water system isn’t completed, we will again proceed with summer camp but haul all water in as we did the previous two summers.

A Capital Campaign will begin shortly to help relieve the cost of an approximately $90,000 overhaul to Camp Lambec’s water system and for other capital expense.  Information will be arriving in each of our churches very soon.

Gary Lyon is to be in touch with Camp Crestfield and Pine Springs Camp on behalf of the CAPNWP to begin to explore ways of opening the door to mutual camping ministry in western PA.

Need Someone from Kiskiminetas Presbytery

We are in need of someone from Kiskiminetas Presbytery who has a passion for Christian Camping to serve on the Camp Board.  This person needs to know that the C.A.P.N.W.P. is no longer a board that meets and approves reports or directives.  We are very hands-on, meet once a month, and each are assigned to carry out responsibilities on behalf of the C.A.P.N.W.P.   The majority of our meetings are during the day.   We have no Director and we are assuming all of those responsibilities.  If you know someone who has a hands-on gift for doing camp ministry please let the Nominating Committee of Kiskiminetas Presbytery know.
